That’s great, Alban! I’ll surely need your help for documenting Velvet Revolution! =)

Hi, Randy,

Thanks for your support. I’m not sure if the best approach would be to do a translation (which would involve writing/syncing subtitles) or if we do an English-spoken video. The latter would need someone online to follow through and ask questions/doubts, as we did on the Portuguese version. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Comment on Velvet Revolver has now support for h264 conversion by szaszak http://blendervelvets.org/velvet-revolver-has-now-support-for-h264-conversion/#comment-72 Tue, 11 Oct 2016 13:41:24 +0000 http://blendervelvets.org/?p=1397#comment-72 In reply to Loraine.

Hi Loraine. Thanks for the tips. The idea is to have something that is low maintenance but at the same time useful for the community so that we can keep a balance in which everyone is well at the same time. This way the Velvets will always be free in all senses, piece of mind included. =) Of course, it’s lovely to know there’s more people using them, but if it became like super popular, I probably would have to consider separating more time for improvements or bug fixing than I currently have, being an activist myself. =) But, of course, if you can do anything to spread the word about the Velvets, it’s always great! =)

Hi, Lorraine, thanks for your replies and compliments, and sorry for the late answer (it’s been quite rushy on this side!). Good to know all is well! Cheers!

Revisited this and answer is that on my system the little box to be ticked to activate the Velvet add-ons is way over the opposite end on the left hand side, next to the little triangle that opens the add-on data.

On revisit I noticed the part that says
“These images may differ slightly from what you see depending on what version you have . . . ”
So that meant that things might be ok but a bit different so felt confident to do a second deeper probe to get on top of this.

So, the answer is:
There’s a small grey box there that you can click on to activate the add-on on the lhs next to the little triangle
Looks like this:

> SMALL GREY BOX : : velver_revolver : :

Once that was done, the box that wasn’t there before to setup a link to the FFMPG program’s ffmpg.exe file was now there. All sweet after that

Using Windows 10 and Blender 2.77

The warning Bang Bang asterisk thing?
Just the Blender developer/maintenance crew messing with us : )

Can I just congratulate you all working on this for my first ever easy-to-understand and not leaving me in a desert-of-bewilderment intro to an open source program.

It’s been a while since I did this, and that total turn-off is completely absent due to the efficient and effective results you have come up with in this process.

Professional, user-friendly, clear and effective.
Thanks so much.
I have donated and will again.

regards
Lorraine
